Members of the 董事会 of Governors are elected by Active voting members of the 酒吧. They serve staggered three-year terms from July 1 to June 30. The slate of candidates is approved by the Nominations Committee and elections are held in the spring. This page includes everything you need to know about the election process.

All officers and voting members of the 董事会 of Governors also serve as the 董事会 of Directors (BOD) of the D.C. 酒吧公益中心.

第一年: 当选总统 and a member of most 董事会 and 酒吧 committees and performs the duties of the 总统 during any absence or temporary disability of the 总统.
第二年: 总统 presides over all meetings of the 酒吧 and 董事会 of Governors and ais a member of most 董事会 and 酒吧 committees.

财务主管-Elect: 三年的承诺
第一年: 财务主管-Elect and responsible for the duties of 财务主管 during any absence of the 财务主管. The 财务主管-Elect is not an officer of either 董事会.
第二年: 财务主管 reports on the 酒吧’s and 公益性服务 Center’s financial condition and prepares the 财务主管-Elect.
三年级: Remain on the 董事会 as an at-large member for one year following their year as 财务主管.

Duties, Responsibilities, and 董事会 “Action Items”
- Approve appointments to various committees and commissions
- Receive reports and recommendations from committees and task forces, and decide what actions to pursue
- Approve the 5-year strategic plans
- 审查和批准某些D.C. 酒吧的政策
- Receive the external auditor’s report
- Approve the annual budgets for the 酒吧 and 公益性服务 Center
- Set the annual license fee rate for active, inactive, and judicial members
- Attend up to 8 regular meetings per year (typically 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month)
Qualifications of a 董事会 candidate
活跃的维.C. 酒吧 members in good standing are eligible to run for the 董事会. 虽然不是必需的, some experience in service to the legal community and a desire to contribute to the 酒吧’s future and provide strategic guidance is valuable among prospective 董事会 members.

D.C. 大靠谱的滚球平台公会提名委员会, 由总统任命, evaluates nominations for 董事会 vacancies to build a slate of candidates for the annual elections. Active members are encouraged to nominate candidates or themselves to run for a seat on the 董事会.
3月中旬

Online voting is available, and candidates can promote their candidacy to the networks and at the D.C. 靠谱的滚球平台候选人论坛.
6月中旬
Election results are announced.
6月下旬
New 董事会 members sworn in and recognized at the D.C. 酒吧领导盛典.
